Julie and her husband moved to Saratoga Springs in 2005.  They have 4 children, ages 7-15.  They have previously served as foster parents.  Julie graduated from BYU in 1997 with a BS in Family Sciences.  She has been an active volunteer in her community and currently volunteers with Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of Utah, the Saratoga Springs library, as well as serving on multiple PTA boards and School Community Councils.  For the past two years, she has worked as a substitute teacher in the Alpine School District.  She has worked with abused and neglected children and also previously served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Utah County.  In 2012, she was honored as the Parenting Magazine Mom Congress Utah Delegate and in 1999, the Utah County Child Advocate of the Year.  Julie is an avid reader and enjoys writing.  Her writings have been published in LDS Living Magazine and the Deseret News.
